We are fundraising for the Kolonga Government Primary School (Kolonga GPS) located in the Kolonga village on the northeast coast of Tongatapu in Tonga after the devastation of Cyclone Gita earlier in the year.   The 2006 Census records the population as 1,199 with nearly 99% of the population agricultural farmers.  Like all primary schools in Tonga, there is a significant shortage of funding to support the operation of Kolonga GPS. They lack basic educational tools such as library books, access to internet, and teacher aides. Kolonga also holds a special connection to Kohia Terrace School (KTS) in that some KTS students can draw their heritage to the village Kolonga.
