This is a fundraising event to support year 6 students going to Tonga to support local communities.

We are fundraising for the Kolonga Government Primary School (Kolonga GPS) located in the Kolonga village on the northeast coast of Tongatapu in Tonga.   The 2006 Census records the population as 1,199 with nearly 99% of the population agricultural farmers.  The items we hope to help them with are school supplies to support their education such as a laminator, computers, books, sports equipment and general stationery. Like all primary schools in Tonga, there is a significant shortage of funding to support the operation of Kolonga GPS. They lack basic educational tools such as library books, access to internet, and teacher aides. Kolonga also holds a special connection to Kohia Terrace School (KTS) in that some KTS students can draw their heritage to the village Kolonga.
